Annual Group Show - 8 June 2008 |
| It is with great pleasure that we can announce that our annual group show will be held on the 8th of June 2008, in the new state of the art Scottish National Equestrian Centre. This wonderful 3.5 million pound, purpose built equestrian facility was officially opened in May 2007 by the Duchess of Rothesay, and is already providing every discipline with the perfect place to train and compete. It is hoped that the Scottish National Equestrian Centre will encourage riders, handlers and owners from near and far to take advantage of this fantastic event, maximizing the numbers taking part in our show and also help promote the Arabian horse. We do hope that you can join us. Schedule can be found on the Schedules Page. We are also looking for sponsorship for the show. Please see link to letter and form below. |

Annual General Meeting - Sunday 25th November at 2pm |
| A good attendance at our AGM. Elaine Brown has resigned as Chairman and Allison McCulloch has resigned as show secretary. Our new chairman is Elizabeth Ferguson and our new show secretary Stuart Finlay. We thank Elaine and Allison for all the work they are put in to the group. For an up to date listing of committee members please see the Committee Page. Thanks to our speakers Clare Fitch and Louise Maryon who gave an entertaining and informative talk on producing ridden and in-hand horses for the show ring. Congratulations to the winners of the auctioned items and our Points Championship winners. |

| Congratulations of all winners, especially Liessa Allan who won Overall Points Championship. Full results can be found on the results page. The points championship form, rules and categories for 2007/2008 is now published under schedules. |

NATIONAL ARABIAN WEEK (Friday 3rd to Sunday 12th August) |
| Two events took place in Scotland on 7th and 8th August covering both north and south Scotland. They were a resounding success, much enjoyed by members and non-members alike and a fantastic showcase for the Arabian breed. Full details can be found below:- |
THE VERSATILE ARABIAN - PART 1 |
| A demonstration of the working Pure, Part-bred and Anglo Arabian, featuring Showing, Costume, Pairs Dressage and more was given to over 80 spectators. Joy McLean and Shirley Gray shared their experiences and also gave a complete insight into every aspect of the Arabian Horse, from its beginnings through to the multi talented horses we have with us today. |
THE VERSATILE ARABIAN - PART 2 |
| A demonstration of the working Pure, Part-bred and Anglo Arabian. Featuring Endurance, Western, Ridden Showing, Costume, Dressage and more along with a raffle of exceptional prizes including Western, Driving, Endurance lessons as well as Dressage with Jane Ritchie were the events at the northern part of this event. Approx 250 spectators enjoyed the event. |

| The Annual Group Show took place on Saturday 9th June at Devon Leisure Equestrian Centre, Alloa. It was a fantastic day and many congratulations to Mrs Leigh-Ann Mitchell on winning the Champion of Champions with her filly, Judals Little Kiss! Please see the results page for full results. |

LOST TROPHY - THE SCOTT TROPHY |
| One of our trophies which was donated by Kathleen Scott went missing 2 years ago. This trophy was a horse in a bronze colour with 'The Scott Trophy' enscribed on it. | This is a plea to all past members and possible new members, please support your group by rejoining or joining and attending the events your committee is striving to organise for you. Without you there will be no group and considering this is the longest running regional group that would be a shame. |

It doesn't need to be about horses, tell us what you've been up to, any fab holidays you've been on, any trips you've been made. Let us know if you've gotten engaged, married, divorced, had a child etc. Send us your fab recipes, hints and tips etc. C'mon folks!! |
